Meet Dr. Kimberly Harris
A native of Rocky River, Ohio, Dr. Kimberly Harris has been a dedicated gastroenterologist at North Shore Gastroenterology since 2016. Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and gastroenterology, she has proudly contributed to various publications and presentations focused on gastroenterology, hepatology, and pediatrics.
Dr. Harris earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University (OSU) College of Medicine in Columbus. She then completed her combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and her clinical fellowship training in gastroenterology from Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Before joining North Shore Gastroenterology, Dr. Harris honed her skills as a volunteer in OSU’s Physicians Free Clinic, Columbus Neighborhood Health Center’s Healthcare for the Homeless, and the Birmingham Free Clinic, which houses the University of Pittsburgh’s healthcare program for underserved populations. Dr. Harris also maintains memberships in the American College of Physicians, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and American College of Gastroenterology.
Although she treats a range of GI and liver conditions, her areas of special interest include irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), colorectal cancer screening and detection, and the management of hepatitis C and chronic liver disease.
