GI Research
North Shore Gastroenterology is committed to advancing digestive health through ongoing gastroenterology research, clinical studies, and innovation in patient care. Our team partners with regional research networks to evaluate new diagnostic tools, medications, and therapies for conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, gastroparesis, and GERD. By participating in clinical trials in Northeast Ohio, patients may gain access to emerging treatments while contributing to advancements in digestive care. Every study follows strict safety standards and is conducted under the oversight of experienced GI specialists.
What Is a Clinical Trial?
Clinical trials are structured research studies in which volunteers help answer important medical questions and evaluate potential new treatments. These studies allow researchers to test medications, procedures, and diagnostic approaches that may improve digestive health care in the future. Benefits can include early access to therapies not yet available to the public and possible reimbursement for participation. All trials include careful monitoring, and while new treatments may carry unknown risks, participants are guided by trained clinicians throughout the process.
