Avsola® (Infliximab-axxq) Infusion

Avsola® is used to manage moderate to severe Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Like other infliximab treatments, it binds to TNF-α to stop the inflammatory process at its source. This helps to heal the digestive tract, ease severe symptoms, and help patients reclaim their daily lives from the unpredictability of IBD.

The medication is administered intravenously by our skilled clinical team. We prioritize your comfort and safety, closely monitoring you to quickly address any rare allergic responses. To help us provide the best care, please inform your doctor of any recent illnesses, infections, or new medications prior to your infusion.

Entyvio® (Vedolizumab) Infusion

Entyvio® is a gut-selective biologic medication used to treat Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis by blocking inflammatory pathways in the gastrointestinal tract. It is administered intravenously and typically takes about two hours. Infusions are generally scheduled every eight weeks after initial loading doses.

Because symptom improvement may take several weeks or multiple treatments, ongoing communication with your gastroenterologist is crucial. Patients should notify their provider of any signs of infection, vaccinations received, or recent exposure to tuberculosis before starting or continuing Entyvio® therapy.

Inflectra® (Infliximab-dyyb) Infusion

Inflectra® is an effective treatment for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. This infusion works by inhibiting the inflammatory protein TNF-α, which helps reduce intestinal swelling, heal the gut lining, and relieve disruptive symptoms. It is a trusted option for patients who have not found relief with traditional oral medications.

Your infusion will take about two to three hours, during which our dedicated nursing staff will monitor you closely to ensure a safe, comfortable experience. Allergic reactions are rare, but we are fully prepared to manage them should they occur. Please disclose any active infections, current medications, or changes in your medical history before starting your Inflectra® treatment.

Injectafer® (Ferric Carboxymaltose) Infusion

Injectafer® is a high-capacity intravenous iron therapy designed to rapidly correct iron deficiency anemia, especially in patients who cannot tolerate or absorb oral iron due to GI conditions. It delivers a substantial amount of iron directly into the bloodstream in a single sitting, quickly alleviating symptoms of severe fatigue and weakness.

The medication is administered through an IV line, usually taking only about 15 minutes to complete. Our compassionate staff will observe you closely during and shortly after the procedure to ensure your safety and comfort. Prior to treatment, please let your provider know about any known allergies, high blood pressure, or other current medical conditions.

Omvoh® (Mirikizumab) Infusion

Omvoh® is an innovative biologic therapy approved for the treatment of moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis. This medication is an IL-23 inhibitor that works by targeting a specific protein to reduce intestinal inflammation. By blocking this protein, Omvoh® helps reduce bowel urgency, heal the colon lining, and maintain long-lasting symptom relief.

During your induction phase, the medication is given as an IV infusion lasting at least 30 minutes. Our attentive clinical team will be by your side to monitor your progress and ensure your utmost comfort. Before starting Omvoh®, please let your doctor know about any ongoing infections, health conditions, or other medications you are taking.

Pyzchiva® (Ustekinumab-ttwe) Infusion

Pyzchiva® is used to help patients manage Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis effectively. As an ustekinumab biosimilar, it targets the specific immune pathways (IL-12 and IL-23) responsible for chronic gut inflammation. This targeted approach helps reduce flare-ups and promotes lasting remission for those living with IBD.

During your appointment, a nurse will administer the medication through an IV over the course of about an hour. Prior to treatment, please let our team know if you have been feeling unwell, have any active infections, or have started any new medications.

Remicade® (Infliximab) Infusion

Remicade® is used to treat Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and rheumatoid arthritis. It reduces inflammation associated with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) by targeting tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), a protein involved in inflammatory processes. Remicade® is especially helpful for patients who do not respond adequately to other medical therapies and is often effective in reducing symptoms and inducing remission.

During the procedure, a nurse places an IV line and administers the medication over approximately three hours. Although reactions are rare, our team is fully equipped to manage any allergic responses that may occur. Patients should disclose all medications and inform their provider of any infections, chronic health conditions, or recent symptoms prior to receiving Remicade.

Renflexis® (Infliximab-abda) Infusion

Renflexis® is a biologic medication used to treat gastrointestinal conditions like Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. As a biosimilar to Remicade®, it works by targeting and blocking tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), a specific protein that causes inflammation in the digestive tract. This therapy is highly effective for patients who need advanced support to manage their symptoms and achieve long-term remission.

Your infusion will be administered by a nurse via an IV line over two to three hours. While severe reactions are rare, our team is fully equipped to ensure your safety and comfort. Before your appointment, please inform your provider of any new medications, recent infections, or health changes.

Selarsdi™ (Ustekinumab-aekn) Infusion

Selarsdi™ is a biosimilar to Stelara®, designed to treat inflammatory conditions such as plaque psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, Crohn’s disease, and ulcerative colitis. It works by neutralizing the IL-12 and IL-23 proteins, which helps to calm the immune system and reduce inflammation. For those with IBD, this process specifically targets inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract, providing a reliable pathway to symptom relief and intestinal healing.

Your treatment begins with an intravenous (IV) infusion administered by one of our nurses. Eight weeks after this initial dose, Selarsdi™ is given as an injection under the skin. While adverse reactions are uncommon, our team is highly trained to handle any issues to ensure your safety. Please remember to inform your healthcare provider about any recent infections, persistent symptoms, or changes to your daily medications before your visit.

Skyrizi® (Risankizumab-rzaa) Infusion

Skyrizi® is utilized to treat moderate to severe Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. By directly targeting the IL-23 protein, it effectively breaks the cycle of chronic inflammation in the gut. This treatment has shown great success in helping patients achieve deep remission and improve their overall quality of life.

The initial induction doses are given via an IV infusion over the course of at least one hour. As with all biologic therapies, please disclose any active infections, recent symptoms, or new medications to your gastroenterologist before receiving Skyrizi®.

Stelara® (Ustekinumab) Infusion

Stelara® is an advanced biologic treatment for moderate to severe Crohn’s disease. It targets two specific proteins involved in inflammation, making it a strong alternative for patients who have not responded to other IBD therapies. Treatment begins with a one-time IV infusion at our Westlake office, followed by maintenance injections every eight weeks. These injections may be administered in-office or at home with proper training.

Studies show that many patients begin to experience meaningful symptom relief within six weeks of their initial infusion, with remission rates improving over time. As with other biologics, patients should inform their gastroenterologist of all medical conditions and medications to ensure safe and effective treatment.

SteQeyma® (Ustekinumab-stba) Infusion

SteQeyma® is a prescription medicine used to treat adults with moderate to severe Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. It is also approved for adults and children aged 6 years and older with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis or active psoriatic arthritis.

The medication is delivered via a one-hour IV infusion under the watchful eye of our compassionate clinical staff. We are fully equipped to manage any rare infusion reactions, ensuring a safe and smooth experience. Before receiving SteQeyma®, please discuss any current health concerns, infections, or medication updates with your gastroenterologist.

Tremfya® (Guselkumab) Infusion

Tremfya® is an advanced biologic used to manage moderate to severe ulcerative colitis. It specifically binds to the IL-23 protein, intercepting the inflammatory signals that cause damage to the digestive tract. This helps patients achieve significant symptom improvement and mucosal healing.

The medication is administered through an IV infusion. Our skilled nurses will monitor you carefully throughout the process to manage any rare adverse reactions. To ensure the safest care possible, please inform your provider of any recent illnesses, infections, or changes to your medical routine prior to your treatment.

Venofer® (Iron Sucrose) Infusion

Venofer® is an intravenous (IV) iron replacement therapy used to treat iron deficiency anemia, a common complication for patients with inflammatory bowel disease or gastrointestinal bleeding. It restores the body's iron stores more quickly and effectively than oral supplements, helping to improve your energy levels and overall well-being.

The infusion time can vary depending on your specific dosage, typically ranging from a few minutes to a few hours. Our nursing staff will monitor you closely during the administration to prevent and manage any allergic reactions. Please inform your care team if you have a history of iron overload, drug allergies, or any active infections before your infusion.

Wezlana™ (Ustekinumab-auub) Infusion

Wezlana™ is a biologic treatment that effectively manages Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. By blocking the inflammatory actions of the IL-12 and IL-23 proteins, it helps reduce intestinal damage and alleviate the daily burden of IBD symptoms, offering patients a clear path toward long-term remission.

Your initial dose is administered as an IV infusion that takes about one hour to complete. Our experienced nursing team will ensure you are entirely comfortable and will monitor you for any allergic responses. Please remember to inform your care team of any recent infections, medical conditions, or newly prescribed medications before your infusion.
